Nå skal Fødselsgrotta i Betlehem restaurerast for første gong på 600 år! Det er verkeleg ei stor hending. Eg kjenner på glede når eg ser denne nyheita.
Dette er ein stad som betyr mykje. Kyrkja står etter gamal tradisjon på staden der Jesus blei født. Hic de Virgine Maria Jesus Christus natus est står det på sølvstjerna. Omsett: Her blei Jesus Kristus født av jomfru Maria.
Eg har vore heilt åleine ved stjerna. Men dei fleste gongene eg har vore der, har det vore trongt om plassen. Det er mykje folk som oppsøker Fødselskyrkja og det er naturleg nok viktig å ta vare på grotta og heile kyrkja. Godt at kyrkjesamfunna som har ansvaret, nå er klare for å gjera dette i fellesskap!
